FX Deliveries Officer

This New Zealand owned and operated brokerage firm, has a strong and established reputation in the financial markets, advising and facilitating a full range of products.  An internal promotion and their continued growth and expansion has resulted in an opportunity for an FX Delivery Officer to join their successful boutique firm in the city.

The role
The FX Delivery Officer is a dynamic role and holds a high level of responsibility, working closely with the dealers and their clients. You will be part of a close-knit, fun and energetic operations team.  You will be responsible for advising the dealers and facilitating the settlement of all foreign exchange contracts.

More specifically you will be:
  • Advising dealers on specific client details and international currency restrictions
  • Ensuring all third-party payments are compliant with AML regulations
  • Ensuring clients have sufficient cleared funds and payments are made before various currency cut offs
  • Verifying the details of FX deals and reviewing for accuracy
  • Investigating all discrepancies with and for the dealers
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge of individual client information to ensure all settlement instructions are correct and transactions are settled within the designated exchange settlement periods
  • Receiving payment requests and processing all payments in the bank’s online systems
  • Posting any relevant journals.
Your background
  • Previous experience in a settlements position is essential
  • FX settlements and experience in a boutique firm is preferred
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand AML rules
  • Understanding of international currency restrictions

  • Exceptional communication skills with an engaging and insightful personality
  • Expert problem-solving abilities - you must be able to interpret information and articulate any follow up questions at pace
  • Accurate with meticulous attention to detail
  • A self-starter who must be comfortable working ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management to an Executive level (both internal & external)
