Following a recent acquisition, this successful commercial cleaning operation is looking for an HR Advisor to manage their people processes and drive HR best practice.
It is a sole charge role, reporting to the director, with support from an external advisor, so you will need to be able to work autonomously and be very organised.
A great role for someone with preferably 3+ years HR experience and looking for the next step in their career. You will need to have a good understanding of employment legislation as well as be able to coach and support supervisors and managers with managing with their teams.
We have staff spread all over New Zealand so you need to be able to communicate across phone, email as well as face to face with all levels of the business. As the first point of contact for all HR related enquiries it is important that you have an approachable manner, a real interest in our people and a sense of humour.
You will have experience at advisor level and be ready to take on a more senior role that still has support and mentorship. In addition you will be organised, methodical, and accurate. Experience within a unionised environment would be preferable but not essential.
Your day will include:
- Providing first level HR support to supervisors, managers and team members
- General HR admin, including Employment Agreements
- Development and maintenance of HR systems and processes
- Writing and implementing policies and procedures
- Ad hoc project work as required
