Maintenance Manager

What is this role all about?

  • Lead and grow capabilities of internal resources to ensure productivity targets are exceeded and ensure service levels are compliant and meet the health and safety requirements.
  • Responsibility for all maintenance cost lines to ensure business targets are achieved consistently.
  • Build a reporting and control system to best manage the workflows of internal and external resources.
  • Develop project improvements to deliver customer benefit and resource savings through innovation leading a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure policies, governance and compliance requirements are met both internally and externally.
  • Manage productive relationships with vendors and partners to optimise vehicle down time.
  • Manage inventory efficiently and possess an understanding of tendering techniques.
  • Develop specific maintenance improvement strategies and monitor the implementation.
  • Lead innovative reviews and improvements of existing processes and procedures.

  • Experienced in vehicle maintenance and expert at ensuring consistency of approaches across the business
  • Expert at innovative and practical approaches to problem solving and the ability to initiate action
  • Skilled at communicating effectively with all stakeholders including operations and senior management teams
  • Expert at the assessment of third-party products & service for value and suitability
  • Skilled at maximizing service team productivity and ensuring resources are in line with budgets
  • Experience at working effectively in and across regional organisations
  • Agile, self-initiated, resilient and committed to best practices
