Accounts Officer

CMW Geosciences (CMW) is a mid-sized, privately owned, consultancy firm with offices in New Zealand and Australia. Delivering excellent geotechnical services based on strong personal working relationships, honest and open communications and a focus on work/life balance.

As a result of internal promotion an opportunity now exists for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our friendly Auckland team. This position involves all aspects of office and facilities management, administration and accounts support. Your passion and drive to succeed, attention to detail, and willingness to take on new challenges, will ensure your future success within the business.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in all areas of office administration and accounts duties within a professional services environment
  • Intermediate MS Office skills required
  • Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable role is essential
  • Positive can-do attitude, where you are willing to help where needed
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative in a fast-paced office environment
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
  • To become a part of and contribute to the CMW Group Administration team

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Reception and administration duties ensuring the office is running at maximum efficiency
  • Assist in and processing of monthly accounts including accounts payable/receivable
  • General office duties including filing, stationery, mail, calls and general office cleanliness
  • General HR responsibilities including staff reimbursements, training & OHS records
  • Organisation of key communications, travel bookings and events for staff
  • To develop enduring relationships with both clients and our internal technical delivery teams to grow the business
