About the opportunity:

Our client is a growing presence in the Architecture industry, with studios in Auckland, Wellington, Nelson and Christchurch. They are now looking for a Graduate Architect with 2-5 years post graduate experience to join their Auckland studio. This is a permanent position with real opportunity for advancement. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented design Architect, with developing technical skills.

Role description:

Since the company has a diverse clientele, you will be working across a wide-range of assignments, from small to large scale commercial, residential, and high end civic and urban projects. Additionally, they have a great mentoring environment to encourage skill development within the company.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and territorial authorities
  • Oversee contracts and construction site monitoring
  • Produce high quality construction documentation
  • Involvement in large complex projects through all stages of design and documentation

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

  • A New Zealand recognised degree in Architecture
  • Proven track record of taking project involvement
  • Adept technical skills; experience in high quality construction documentation
  • Proficient with New Zealand construction methods (eg. detailing, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of CAD and software programs - ArchiCAD 21/22 and BIMx
  • Skilled at Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and project partners
  • Creative design ability, ability to learn and diligence
  • Clean New Zealand driver’s licence
