The Raukawa Charitable Trust (RCT) has been a provider of quality community initiatives throughout the South Waikato since 1987. We are proud to deliver a wide range of iwi-lead initiatives in the health, social, treaty, cultural, and environmental sectors, to the communities that we serve.

We are seeking a Group Manager for our Corporate Services (Aka Tauwhiro) Group.  This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Corporate Services Manager, Business Operations Manager, or Chief Financial Officer, looking for their next career challenge.

The role of Group Manager – Corporate Services is a pivotal role within the organisation, involving management of a multi-disciplinary team in order to deliver effective and value-added services that contribute to overall organisational success.  A busy and varied role, the main responsibilities are to provide strategic financial leadership to grow the organisation, management of financial operations including reporting, budgeting, auditing and forecasting in line with policy and legal requirements; and oversight of the communications, accounts and administrative functions performed by the team.  This role involves collaboration with our various stakeholders, and requires an organised individual with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.  As part of the Executive Management Team, this internally focussed senior role is critical to the success of the organisation.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday.  Based in our main office in Tokoroa, travel to our satellite offices may be required on occasion.

Personal Attributes required:

  • A relevant qualification or experience at Senior Management level
  • Proven knowledge and experience of strategy and business planning, financial management, project management, governance and capacity building within a commercial environment
  • The ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with various stakeholders
  • Confident communication skills, passionate about working with people and with a positive approach to work
  • The ability to inspire, support and manage a multi-disciplinary team and resources, with a clear approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working with ISO or other QA/QS standards would be advantageous
  • Experience working with Iwi/Māori organisations is desirable, as is a basic understanding of Te Reo me tikanga māori
