Recovery Administrator

What you will do

As a Recovery Administrator you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills within internal recoveries. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of payments. This includes preparing invoices, monitoring incoming payments and securing revenue by verifying and posting payments. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders within NZDF and other agencies, so the role would suit someone who is personable, has high attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills to match.

This will include:

  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, posting and recording data;
  • Reconciling of payments to the general ledger; ensure all payments are accounted for and recorded accurately;
  • Prepare and analyse data for financial reporting.

What we need

We are keen to hear from you if you are an energetic Administrator with demonstrable experience and technical expertise in administrative/ clerical and financial procedures. You have strong attention to details, particularly with numerical financial information and an ability to analyse and problem solve issues. You will also possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working in an operational role with financial services
  • Excellent data entry and accuracy skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Well organised, detail oriented and able
  • Professional manner, excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to build rapport with stakeholders
  • Ability to pick things up quickly, strong computer literacy and IT savvy.

We expect to appoint around the midpoint of the salary band for this role which is $48,892.00 inclusive of a 4% employer superannuation contribution. This may be negotiable depending on experience.

Please note: This role will initially be based in Petone however we are currently working through our longer-term office location requirements in the broader Wellington area. This means that in future you may need to be able to work in one of our other CIS offices across the Wellington and Hutt Valley region.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
