In New Zealand, we have 6 properties under three exciting hotel brands (InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn). This role as a NZ Marketing Communications Executive will be based at Crowne Plaza Auckland and be closely in touch with other hotels around the country.

Your day to day

  • Social Media - manage social media accounts across all IHG NZ hotels to engage target audiences across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Content Creation - assist in creative writing, where in the form of blogs, email marketing, social media posts or traditional media material.
  • Content Management - create and implement social media schedules to keep customers engaged and informed about our hotel brands.
  • Communications & Advertising - distribute compelling headlines, keywords, photo and video content aligned to each hotel's unique positioning via multiple digital channels.
  • Websites - work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure all marketing campaigns have an online presence.
  • Support Design - supporting in developing and delivering creative assets including image, design and layout files applied to content strategy.
  • Marketing Analytics - tracking social media performance metrics, marketing enhancements and reporting results to stakeholders.
  • Media Relations - manage the relationship with suppliers, media agencies and advertisers to deliver campaigns and build brands.

What we need from you

  • Graduate/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media/Public Relations, Journalism or Hospitality.
  • Great communication skills, with effective and persuasive verbal and written proficiency.
  • Solid copywriting skills and a passion for it.
  • Proven knowledge of Social Media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing channels, advertising and reporting insights.
  • Confident stakeholder management ability.
  • Being a self-starter and having the ability to lead complex projects.
  • Graphic design skills would be an asset.
  • Marketing experience within the hotel, travel, F&B or retail industry would be an advantage.
