Accounts and generalist administration assistant

The Fertco Group is a growing medium sized business with three reporting entities. 

Reporting to the financial controller, this full-time role is diverse and variable.  As an intermediate administrator you will be responsible for assisting the financial controller and wider management team with the creditor’s function of the business as well as other general administrative duties.

The general scope of the role includes:

  • Accounts payable processing
  • Purchase Order support
  • Matching receipts and dockets
  • Creditor reconciliations
  • Credit Card processing
  • Supplier maintenance in the I.T system
  • Supplier payment runs and remittances
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting the financial controller and other facets of the business in a generalist capacity

The role will also include general reception and administration duties such as:

  • Providing support to the management team
  • Health and Safety admin support
  • Reception duties
  • I.T project assistance
  • General administrative assistance that can vary from day to day but includes tasks such as filing, maintaining vehicle registrations, coordination of meetings and venues etc.

The successful candidate for this role will have the following specific skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in an account’s administration role
  • A solid working knowledge of the Microsoft suite especially excel and word.
  • Experience using accounting software, preferably (but not essential) experience with mid-tier ERP packages
  • Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail
  • A thirst and willingness to learn
  • A proactive solution focused work ethic
  • Ability to work under reasonable pressure during peak times
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
