Pipeline Supervisor - Pacific Islands

The Role:

As the Pipeline Supervisor you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the projects pipeline construction and associated activities; responsibilities include supervision of construction personnel/subcontractors, reporting, and ensuring compliance, and Quality, Safety and Environmental standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that you and all your direct reports/subcontractors adhere to the company’s quality, safety and environmental policies and procedures, and that acceptable working methods and practices are implemented.
  • To promote total job safety and environmental awareness to the employees, subcontractors, all persons in the job vicinity, and stress to all employees and subcontractors the importance senior management attaches to safe work practices and environmental protection.
  • Ensure that hazards are identified, risks assessed, and control measures planned are implemented in consultation with relevant employees.
  • Ensure that you and all your direct reports attend weekly Toolbox meetings and Daily Pre-Start.
  • Undertake and take responsibility for Pre-Start Meetings and Toolbox Meetings when required.
  • Ensure that construction materials are stored in a safe and secure manner.

Requirements:

  • Qualification relevant to the construction industry and including “Plumbing and Gas Fitter” qualification or Apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience relevant to the designated project and having previously held a position of Supervisor.
  • Sound working knowledge of HS and E requirements and implementing of same.
  • Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees.
  • Hold current driver’s license.
  • Experience in PE and Ductile Iron Pipe - buried and above ground installation
  • Experience in overseeing and setting up pressure tests such as MS, M6.
