Reporting through to Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of customer solutions for the Vital Group. The key to success in this position is to be a great team player, with strong customer facing experience, who is hands-on and works well with others. You’ll need to be systematic, thorough, methodical, pro-active and have the ability to effectively coordinate others to get the job done. Although process orientated, a real sense of urgency and a desire to take ownership of a task and follow it through to completion is essential. The role is extremely varied so the ability to multi-task and prioritise is vital.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of and actively execute work programmes, within time, scope and budget.
  • Strong ability to accurately price, solution and manage field projects, especially green field site builds, microwave radio links, fibre and fixed networks.
  • Lead reviews of draft documentation of delivery feasibility, scope clarity, and budget reviews, and using experience to apply necessary risk loading for pending business cases.
  • Actively manage, and provide input to, the PMO project portfolio.
  • Project Scheduling – Drive and monitor project schedules, coordinate the necessary resource to ensure tasks are completed on time, and handed over to the Operations teams following established processes and guidelines
  • Customer and Stakeholder communications – providing regular and informative updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercial Management - Scope of Work documentation and liaising with contractors and Engineers to ensure successful completion of tasks
  • Financial control and reporting – Track financial budgets and liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure quotes, purchase orders, variations and invoices are all managed correctly.
  • Procurement Support - Coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of hardware and materials in conjunction with the supply chain manager.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrates a breadth and depth of Project Management experience of delivering microwave radio links, fibre and fixed networks projects in a customer environment.
  • Strong ability to accurately price, solution and manage field projects, especially green field site builds, microwave radio links, fibre and fixed networks.
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective.
  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
