ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN - Leading multi-disciplinary architectural practice


Want a long weekend – every weekend? This practice is offering flexible working hours and includes a 36 hour week with the office closing at 12:30pm each Friday. An exciting range of projects are underway across the commercial, retail, educational, and community sectors.

Are you a multi-skilled Senior Architectural Technician looking for an exciting opportunity? This practice has an office in Auckland and another in the lower north island, so there is plenty of scope to be involved across a wide range of projects. They are looking for the right person who will fit into this fun, friendly, and interactive team culture. You will be well supported, including ongoing professional development, and work in a relaxed studio environment.

The Auckland office is located in a pleasant modern office within the Highbrook “Village” – just minutes from the southern motorway. There are cafes and gym within close walking distance.

This medium sized architectural practice has strong relationships with their Clients and a great reputation nationally.

Skills required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in NZ
  • Proven documentation and technical skills
  • Able to lead a team to produce high quality technical documents
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of people including clients and consultants
  • Experience at all stages of a project: from start to completion with particular strength in Detailed Design
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • New Zealand Resident
  • Appropriate architectural qualification (NZDAT or similar)
