Quarry Supervisor

The Company

Inframax Construction is a local mid-sized Civil Construction and Maintenance Company who are proud to provide excellent service results for public and private clients across the Central North Island and Taranaki regions.

The Role

In this key position you will be working very closely alongside the Quarry Manager and team. You will share responsibility for productivity and ensuring that product quality is high. You must have heavy machinery experience and be willing to get stuck into physical tasks where required.

A strong safety focus will be of up most importance to you is this will be a critical aspect of the role. You will possess a genuine interest in the day-to-day management and challenges of running a quarry, whilst also meeting the specifications required.

This is a permanent role with an attractive salary on offer & potential to move up the ladder. As an experienced member of staff you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of  SOP’s, JSA’s and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of mine, quarry or civil environment industry experience with some supervisory experience is important
  • You will be a qualified B Grade Quarry Manager who would like to further their quarrying career. Consideration would be given to individuals working towards this qualification.
  • Must be physically fit and willing to work alongside small team to achieve production targets. 
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic maintenance including services and problem-solving
  • Good time management skills and ability to plan ahead
  • There is an element of travel in this role with extended hours, so a current NZ Drivers License is a given.
