HR Advisor

A company who believes honesty, pride and respect is at the heart of their business; they offer individual supply chain solutions to every one of their clients which encompasses a full logistics service from their base in Christchurch.

With these values in mind, and given we spend a fair chunk of time in the workplace, your contribution to this business will ensure the right people are hired through best practice selection, recruitment and induction of all employees. You will also be the first point of contact to requests for information, interpretation around legislation and provide any HR advisory support around change projects.

This organisation is growing, and so will this role as it evolves and takes on the challenges of what growth brings. Working alongside the Compliance Manager and Training Co-Ordinator you will have an HR related diploma or degree and the experience to back yourself in this role; it comes with a competitive market salary, responsibility, variety and the empowerment to make the job your own.

Sitting on the Leadership team and reporting directly to the Directors your success will lie with your knowledge of current New Zealand Employment Law, HR policy and procedures, your experience interpreting, advising and implementing such agreements to ensure a robust recruitment process and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their 110 staff across their two sites.

Contributing to a workplace where not only is health and safety first and foremost but every employee’s wellbeing is cared for with a genuine warmth and open door policy. You will also organize training programs alongside the training co-ordinator to develop staff therefore giving them the opportunity to be awesome too!

Sound like you? You will:

  • Be a great communicator, confident yet consultative
  • Enjoy working with people from diverse cultures
  • Have a problem solving and analytical mindset with the ability to work under pressure
  • Be committed to an organization who is transparent with where they are heading and where relationships, service and the value you provide will be the secret to your success.

Whats in it for you? The opportunity to grow with the business as they go from strength to strength, a workplace where the director knows everyone’s name and the framework to put your stamp on the role and a voice at the leadership table.
