Our Laboratory is a leading scientific services provider delivering a range of quality scientific services to customers in the water, industrial and environmental fields. We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Inorganic Chemistry team and to support our current and future growth initiatives. You will be doing the following:  

  • Chemical analysis
  • Analytical instrument operation
  • Laboratory reagent/chemical preparation
  • Quality System maintenance and record-keeping
  • Laboratory housekeeping

The hours of work are 40 hours per week including one weekend day and Public Holidays.  Overtime may be required.  

The preferred attributes for this role are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in analytical chemistry
  • Practical laboratory experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to participate effectively as a member of a team
  • Good organisational and time management/skills and an understanding of quality systems (e.g. NZS/ISO/IEC 17025)
