Personal Assistant - People & Engagement

Our People and Engagement group at Tauranga City Council is responsible for five unique divisions - Customer services, Communications, Democracy services, Human Resources and Takawaenga Maori unit. We are seeking a motivated superstar to provide PA support to the General Manager People & Engagement in addition to some administrative support to the leaders of each of our divisions.

Your average day will vary and may include organising and co-ordinating appointments, attending team meetings, managing correspondence, preparing documents, undertaking research and taking ownership for projects in your space. There is plenty of scope for you to ‘make your mark’ by using your initiative to add value where you spot the need.

Local government experience is a bonus but not essential. What is key for us, is a proactive, efficient multi-tasker with a positive attitude and a love of people. In addition, we need someone who has demonstrated experience in a PA or administrative role, strong technology skills and can communicate exceptionally well verbally and in writing. Maintaining confidentiality and discretion is a must.

If this sounds like you, we would like to meet you.

Please include a cover letter to accompany your curriculum vitae when you apply.

For more information, please read the position description attached.

Applications close Monday 29 July.
