This is a nationally advertised vacancy for the position of File Management Support officer (FMSO) based within Waitemata District.  This role is currently based at Henderson Police station, but will be relocating to Otahuhu in 2020.

The role of FMSO is to provide administrative support to Police across the whole district.

This includes data entry, typing, process and movement of files and provide an excellent customer service to the public

The role requires the use of various Police and standard computer programs

The role is a team based role, in an open plan office involving a 24/7 roster

Training will be provided to the successful applicants by the supportive team around you.

 

Skills:

  • Enter, update and report on high volume files/documents/data entry processes
  • Prioritise workflows
  • Manage time effectively to complete multiple files and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Prepares correspondence for internal and external agencies
  • Conducts appropriate enquiries in respect of files for Official Information and Privacy act requests

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of computer based records, file management and Microsoft office systems
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data entry
  • Demonstrate customer service skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Special Requirements

  • Must be a NZ or Australian citizen OR a NZ resident OR do you have a valid NZ work permit
  • Must be able to work 24/7 (including weekends and holidays inclusive)
  • All shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a typing test with a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
