DML Warehouse Assistant - Day Shift

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team at Douglas Manufacturing Ltd. We are based in Henderson and the role is a permanent position in our warehousing team. We are looking for someone to work on our day shift 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a broad role where our Warehouse Assistant provides support to our manufacturing, packing and export departments. There is some complexity here and you will be accountable for various tasks such as; goods receipt of raw materials, packaging products, stock put-away, and rotation, consolidation and picking of production orders for our manufacturing and packing departments. Responsibilities also include preparation of export shipments, processing transactions and cycle counting & stocktaking. This role also includes repetitive lifting of up to 30kgs unassisted.

What you'll bring

Working within a small team, you will bring a stable work history in warehousing, ideally within pharmaceutical, food or FMCG industry. The ability to learn quickly, have a high level of attention to detail and experience within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be keen, intelligent and process orientated.

Ideally you will have the following:

  • Previous warehouse experience, ideally in cGMP, FMCG or other compliance focused environments
  • Current forklift licence
  • Experience in using and learning computerised systems - SAP experience is not essential but would be a definite advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and a 'right first time' mind-set
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
