Our Location

Our McKee Mangahewa and Kapuni Production Stations are a short drive out of the city from our head office based in New Plymouth. Todd actively supports a large variety of community assets including the award winning Len Lye Arts Centre, the Aquatic Centre and supports bringing the globally recognised WOMAD festival to New Plymouth.

 
The Role 

We are looking for experienced and trainee Operator Technicians to support our busy Production Operations teams in both day and shift roles at our McKee Mangahewa Production Station and Kapuni Production Station. This role involves shared responsibility for the safe operations of MMPS equipment as well as plant and field optimisation.


Suitable applicants must have:
  • NZCE or equivalent is an advantage
  • Proven production operations and maintenance expertise in onshore upstream oil and gas field production and maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of asset management including work planning, well site surface equipment, gathering lines and export pipelines, oil and gas plant operations including LPG processes and road tanker terminal
  • Qualifications or education in control systems is an advantage.
  • HSE management experience for operations (including emergency response and crisis management)
  • Ability to interface well with colleagues and contractors as well as an ability to drive complex issues and proactively influence others with sound technical reasoning
  • Detailed knowledge of Safe systems of work such as Management of Change, Permit to Work and Process Safety
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement and operational excellence in oil and gas operations
  • Ability to set priorities on competing issues according to value to business
  • Ability to train and mentor operations staff
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering and Operating standards and regulations
  • Motivated, self-starting, independent individual with a high level of initiative and good communications skills
