Accounts Clerk - Part time

About the role 
As the Accounts Clerk, you will help support the smooth running of the finance function through the production of accurate and timely financial information for both our wholesale and retail store divisions.  You will get close to and fully understand the business as you:   
  • Assist in month-end close and reporting 
  • Perform Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations 
  • Maintain the Fixed asset ledger 
  • Prepare journals 
  • Manage and respond to both internal and external financial queries  
  • Help with the preparation of our yearly Budgets 
  • Accurately complete daily/weekly tasks in a timely manner, while still prioritising and juggling other tasks.   
You will be supported by a commercially minded leader who gives you the autonomy and flexibility to take responsibility for your own work.  Join a team culture where everyone ‘jumps in’ and supports each other.  In this small, nimble business there is always plenty going on and the right candidate will proactively look for ways to support the wider team. An ability to multi-task is a must in this role! 
  
About you 
With previous experience in an Accounting Support role your strengths in balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting will see you confidently run month end processes and liaising with stakeholders to resolve accounting queries. 
  
You will bring: 
  • Previous experience in balance sheet and bank reconciliations 
  • Hands on experience running month end processes 
  • Experience with, and the ability to quickly learn new Financial accounting software 
  • Strong Excel skills 
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a customer-centric approach 
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with a natural ability to shift priorities 
  • Outstanding time management skills to ensure deadlines are met 
You have an inquisitive mind and willingness to learn. You will bring an accurate and time conscious approach to your accounting responsibilities.
