Coordinator/ Executive Assistant

  • A chance to contribute to the wellbeing of your community
  • Great location, with views of the Christchurch Port Hills
  • Opportunities to grow, with exposure to comms, safety and wellbeing and OD

About the role

This role is busy and varied. Half of your time will be spent supporting Nic Coom our Group Director of People and Strategy - this includes diary management, coordinating meetings and events, report preparation, booking travel and supporting Nic to oversee the People, Comms and Strategy functions. The rest of your time will be spent supporting our safety and wellbeing programmes, providing overflow support to Recruitment, and contributing to articles for our Comms team.

Our team culture is very important to us. We build each other up, support one another and celebrate each other's success both personally and professionally. We love good coffee, and the conversation ranges from food and whānau, to travel and fitness.

About you

Your friendly personality will make you a popular person with internal and external stakeholders. You'll develop yourself a reputation for being able to take your initiative, anticipate needs and continuously look for ways to improve the mahi we do.

If you enjoy supporting a diverse team or you're seeking a career in OD, wellbeing, comms or strategy this could be a great opportunity for you as you'll get exposed to it all. Preferably you'll bring with you a degree in Comms or Business and heaps of passion and creative flair. Your eagerness to develop your cultural competency will be supported with our internal development programme, Takarangi.

People will describe you as approachable and unflappable, and the glue that holds the team together. So, if throwing together an event, organising people and attention to detail is what you thrive on then this may well be the role for you.
