Mobile Medications Staff - Part Time

Stepping Stone Trust (SST) is a faith based organisation and the largest NGO Mental Health Services in Canterbury. SST operates Residential, Respite and Community Support services for Youth through to Older Persons for 500+ service users each week.

  • Brief client engagement (assess wellbeing and oversight medications administration)
  • Morning shift (7.30am-11.30am), Evening shift (5.30pm-9.30pm).
  • Permanent work, approximately 20 hours per week, working one weekend in two, across a mixture of morning and evening shifts
  • Potential for additional casual relieving hours

Our Mobile Medications services are utilised by people who need a high level of support to manage their mental illness and some, without this service, may lose their independent living situation. This role forms the foundations for recovery by ensuring our service users' needs are managed twice daily.

You will have experience working with vulnerable people, ideally in a professional context. This role requires excellent engagement/ communication skills, good time management and a well-developed intuition around non-verbal indicators. You will also be accurate and proficient in the administration of medication and documentation. A full clean drivers licence is essential as is the ability to navigate and keep to a time schedule.

Staff in this role report a high level of personal satisfaction knowing that their actions help keep people well and in the community and that their brief intervention, may be the only person their client has spoken to in that day.

The pay scale for this role is expected to be $43k-53k per annum for a 1.0FTE role in line with gender pay equity.
