An opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Gorilla. This role involves taking great care of our most important resource: our people and keeping them safe.
As the leader of Human Resources & Health and Safety, you will closely work with the General Manager & Distribution Manager to achieve HR & H&S organisational objectives. Some of the key areas you will be focused on are:
Providing advice and support to Managers ensuring any employment issues and processes are completed in accordance with NZ Employment/Health & Safety Legislation.
Health and Safety strategy leadership and oversight.
People processes - resourcing, learning and development, performance management etc.
Policy development - manage a continuing review of all HR policies, procedures and practices, seeking continuous improvement.
Staff reviews and personal development
Co-ordination of end to end recruitment
This is a role that will suit someone with a sense of energy, a can-do attitude and a down to earth style and sense of humour.
Ideally you will have the following experience and skills:
A degree qualification in Human Resources Management or similar.
5+ years working in a generalist HR Management role.
An excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the workplace.
A comprehensive understanding of NZ Employment Law and relevant legislation.
The ability to coach and advise, committed to developing others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines and be proactive
Preparation and maintenance of HR documentation, policies and procedures
