Job Description & Summary

Who are we?

People are what make us the leading professional services firm in New Zealand, and we are a firm full of energy, challenge, innovation and opportunities. We pride ourselves on the vision and expertise we provide for our clients, which include many of the world’s top-tier companies and leading government organisations, as well as smaller enterprises. If you want to build relationships that create value, then read on…

What would you be doing?

We are seeking a positive, proactive and passionate Skilled Volunteering Coordinator to join our PwC Foundation, based in Auckland. You’ll be an integral part of the team, providing administrative support and also delivering operational support to the PwC Foundation team. This diverse role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to develop your own personal and professional skills, whilst working fully flexibly.

Through our PwC Foundation, we run two skilled volunteering programmes that fit within our core strategy - supporting child welfare through education. Our staff go out into low decile schools nationally within our communities and promote literacy in schools - teaching primary school aged children financial literacy concepts through our FLiP programme, and encouraging reading and writing in schools, through our Toitoi Programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead on the coach engagement and diary management  for both FLiP and Toitoi coaches internally and helping set up and complete the briefings for staff
  • Accountability for logistics of coach resources for both FLiP and Toitoi programmes nationally
  • Accurate recording and reporting of volunteer leave, coaches and timing
  • Production and proofing of documentation such as correspondence and presentations
  • Assisting with reporting on volunteer leave, and helping manage any ad hoc policy queries
  • Marking pre and post assessments manually for schools and keeping accurate records of any changes
  • Managing the coach and teacher feedback survey through Qualtrics and google forms and reporting on key them
  • Working with the wider team of internal and external key stakeholders to deliver PwC Foundation to schools through Auckland
  • Assisting on other Foundation projects as and where required

What you’ll need to bring to the role

We’re not necessarily looking for someone with extensive experience – more important is a ‘can do’ attitude, a positive and personable disposition, and a high degree of professionalism. Perhaps you have worked in an administration role/charitable trust role for a year or two and you are looking for a new challenge. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join a leading global firm. We are looking for an individual to hold the following skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of staff and Partners
  • Great organisational, time management and analytical skills to be able to juggle multiple tasks
  • Ability to be adaptable and work alongside a flexible team
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Competent Microsoft office computer skills particularly with excel

Why we think that PwC is a great place to work

We love it here and are convinced you will as well! When you choose PwC, you’ll enjoy endless opportunities working for a market leader with a huge global presence. At PwC we believe our main asset is our people and ensuring their ongoing personal and professional development is of critical strategic importance.
