The Opportunity

Aon Rotorua is a dynamic young at heart team who enjoying building relationships and finding insurance solutions for their clients. We are looking for the right person to join as an Insurance Broker and Administration Support.

In this position you will work on a largely domestic portfolio with a little bit of rural / small business book of existing clients. A large part of your role will focus on building relationships and driving new business.

Day-to-day you might work on:

  • Client visits and relationship building
  • Managing annual client renewals
  • Liaising with Insurers and Underwriters
  • Document preparation
  • Client renewal paperwork
  • Premium negotiations
  • Policy and new business submissions
  • Claims management

This is a perfect position for someone looking to grow their skills and create future career opportunities.

About You

Ideally you will come from an Insurance Broking background, but we are open to hearing from people who can demonstrate proven capability within client account management. We will provide training and support to develop your broking capabilties. We pride ourselves on building strong partnerships so are also looking for someone personable who will ensure excellent service delivery.

We will be looking for:

  • Proven background building client relationships
  • Autonomy and confidence managing your own portfolio
  • Corporate written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience growing new business would be advantageous.

There is also small sales component in this role, as we hope to grow our branch and build new client relationships. You will need to be a confident and resilient person who genuinely believes in the Aon brand and the benefits it can offer.

Rotorua is the adventure playground of the North Island and its central location makes it easy to explore the greater Bay of Plenty region and beyond and is the perfect location to work.
If you have had enough of sitting in traffic for hours wishing you were somewhere else? A commute within Rotorua to the office is usually no longer than 10 mins, Rush hour is more like 5 minutes,  and housing is still affordable.
