We have an exciting opportunity in our People and Capability team for an experienced HR Professional to join our Advisory function. Based out of our new offices in Greenlane this role will partner with leaders at all levels across the organisation to deliver the People priorities aligned with the business strategy.

 

This role supports nationally and is a critical part of the People and Capability team, leading and driving the People strategy, providing support to managers through coaching and development, working on key HR and business projects as well as an advocate and lead for change.

 

You will have the opportunity to collaborate and influence across organisation, so your ability to be flexible, influential and work autonomously is critical. The wider People & Capability team will provide invaluable support and in the spirit of collaboration you will have the opportunity to work with these teams to ensure their products are tailored and meet the needs of the business.

 

Your focus will be to work cross functionally with an emphasis on activities such as:

  • Supporting the wider People team to develop and implement initiatives aligned with the strategy and tailored to the needs of the business
  • Supporting capability development, talent and workforce development
  • Change management
  • Working with managers in all employment related matters, including dealing with disciplinary issues, PG's, mediations
  • Guiding managers to provide effective coaching and performance management

 

Our function has embarked on an exciting journey to transition the advisory function to that of a true business partner model where we as professionals are working at the right level in the business, purposeful in all that we do and impactful in our actions. You will be someone who is resilient and has the grit to drive, and be part of an evolving function whilst building strong networks, keeping a team focus and delivering impactful outcomes.

 

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an HR Business Partnering role who is ready for the next step and wants to be part of our exciting journey. If this excites you then come join the People and Capability Team at New Zealand Police.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • At least five years’ experience in an HR Business Partnering Role
  • A generalist HR background
  • Proven experience guiding and influencing leaders to provide effective coaching and performance management

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must be a New Zealand or Australian citizen, or a New Zealand resident

 

Core Competencies: Level 2 Team Manager/Leader
