About the role:

Oranga Tamariki property team is on a journey to ensure that we provide high quality, welcoming and loving homes and sites for Tamariki, Children and Whānau.  In order to achieve this we are re designing, building or reconfiguring  our frontline sites and homes for children and young people across the country. 

This is an exciting opportunity to make positive change to the lives of those who interact with Oranga Tamariki. 

As the Programme Director, Property and Infrastructure you will:

  • Plan and design the delivery of programme implementation 
  • Collaborate with and work alongside the Senior Project Property Manager, Property Manager and  Head of Infrastructure
  • Oversee the delivery of approximately 40-50 projects 
  • Provide high quality advice to senior leaders, ministers and internal staff
  • Provide leadership to relevant working groups
  • Build and hold trusting relationships across the organisation

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • 10 years’ relevant experience in property and project management 
  • Be passionate about making a real change to the lives of tamariki and children
  • Demonstrated use of a variety of project methodologies 
  • A solid understanding of financial data and support recommendations with quantitative data
  • Experience managing multiple contracts and service level agreements 
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
