OurLaboratory delivers a range of quality scientific services to a wide variety of customers in the water, industrial and environmental fields. We have an excellent reputation based on producing high-quality results and for providing exceptional service. We are seeking a Casual Sampling Technician to support our busy Auckland Laboratory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Carrying out client sampling programmes
  • Producing analytical results
  • Maintaining quality systems
  • Liaising with clients
  • Weekend work required
  • Ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.

Requirements for this role are:

  • NCEA level 2 in a science subject and/or strong practical and fieldwork skills
  • The ability to operate independently with an emphasis on reliability and compliance with quality standards
  • A current full drivers licence for a manual vehicle, sound driving skills and a reasonable knowledge of the Auckland region
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness as some moderate lifting is required

We have twocasual roles available and we are looking for people who are available to work on an as required basis. The successful applicants will also need to be flexible to cope with varying workloads and be able to work weekends and public holidays where required.
