The Howick Historical Village is a unique Living History Museum located in East Auckland depicting Early Settler Life in Auckland including the establishment of Fencible settlements.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work well within a team environment and has an enthusiasm for teaching others.


About the Role
This is a casual role reporting to the Education Team Leader, working with a team of education assistants and volunteers to provide a memorable learning experience for school groups and visitors. 
Classroom-based teaching is required, and occasional guiding as needed on a relief basis, but the primary focus is to make best use of our unique historical environment to deliver education in a practical, hands-on and actively enjoyable way.
Some flexible working may be required occasionally to cover evening, weekend and holiday events.

Bring your energy, enthusiasm and commitment to help us achieve our mission of engaging, entertaining and educating our visitors.
You enjoy delivering high quality educational programmes and have a flair for making learning more enjoyable. You will want to share our enthusiasm for Auckland’s Settler history and work creatively to engage school groups and visitors.
