Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with a broad array of International Students, the role of Student and Programme Administrator will be a busy one with a focus on student and administration support for our academic team. 

About the Role

If successful, you will be responsible for supporting the Student and Academic administrative functions at NZIE and specifically providing pastoral care support for our International students. You'll be based at our Reception and act as a communication hub for Student enquiries and support. 

If not already, you will become fully conversant with the practices and processes for student support, administration and planning including:

  • Providing excellent customer service and pastoral care support to new enquiries and existing students
  • Ensuring the effective functioning of student services and programme administration and coordination at the Takapuna Campus 

  • To effectively support International students (including our Filipino student cohorts) with pastoral care at the NZIE Campus.

About You

The key attributes you will need to bring to the role are excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English and Filipino, attention to detail, an ability to work with a diversity of students (groups/one on one), be a good listener, client focused, supportive and an ability to build strong relationships with your students and academic team. 

Your prior experience in a tertiary environment, student support managing databases, and the proficient use of the Microsoft suite of office based software - Excel, Word and Outlook is highly desirable.
