About the role

As an Emergency Housing Transition Coordinator, you will be engaging with clients during their time in our service with the primary goal of supporting them into long term sustainable housing. The role also focuses on supporting, advocating and guiding clients to engage, connect, maintain and build relationships within the wider community.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive approach along with a passion to help others
  • Is flexible, adaptable, confident and able to make well considered decisions
  • Has experience working and engaging with people who are vulnerable with complex needs particularly with regards to housing
  • Is culturally aware, non-judgemental and respectful
  • Has strong professional boundaries and a good work ethic
  • Is resilient, able to work under pressure and in challenging situations
  • Has good communication and time management skills
  • Holds a full New Zealand driver's licence
