The Company

Our client offers independent testing services to a range of clients in the mining industry. You will be expected to meet global procedures and protocols and will be provided with ongoing training and development to help you reach your potential. This is a permanent full time role.

The Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, responsibilities will include the preparation and analysis of geochemical and environmental samples, providing a quick and accurate turnaround to clients. You will work in a small team and will be required to work on a rotating shift which involves early mornings but no evening work.

The Requirements

The role will appeal to an motivated individual with a high degree of initiative who has already gained functional and technical knowledge in a range of laboratory techniques. Preference will be given to candidates with some working knowledge of a laboratory and equipment.

To be successful in this position, you will possess the following attributes:        

  • A Tertiary Science Qualification. 
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills plus report writing capabilities.
  • A hard working approach and the abilty to pick up processes readily. In addition a positive, professional attitude and excellent time management skills.
  • A commitment to Global Quality, Risk Management and HSE Management Systems.
  • A NZ Driver's Licence and ideally the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
