Communications Advisor

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the mission of the organisation through meaningful engagement with practitioners and stakeholders through high quality communications and content.  We are looking for someone who can help further develop and enhance the profile of the organisation by making their material professional, consistent and contemporary. 

The key activities of your role will include:

  • Supporting the Chief Executive with key messages and supplementary material
  • Ensuring all communications content is appropriate for the intended audience
  • Creating user experiences that generate connection, engagement and participation
  • Supporting development of the website and social media channels (Facebook and Twitter)
  • Developing relationships with practitioners and key stakeholders
  • An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and Tikanga Maori
  • Collaborating with  others and providing project support
  • Actively and positively participating as a member of a small team 

To be successful you will be an experienced Communications Specialist with a broad range of skills across both internal and external communications. You are proactive with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and can demonstrate the ability to work independently.

On offer is a role 30 hours per work, with the opportunity to work from home some of the time, a day off for your birthday, and a positive, supportive team environment.
