The role

Hill Laboratories is a market leader in the provision of analytical services to a wide New Zealand client base.

Our Client Services Managers (CSM's) are the primary link between Hill Laboratories and our clients. In keeping with the growth and strategy of our Commercial sector we have an exciting opportunity for a new Team Leader to join our Commercial team.

In the position of Team Leader - Client Services you will play a critical role in supporting both the Technical CSM's and Administration team.

This position will be based at our Head Office located in Hamilton and reports directly to the General Manager - Sales and Marketing.

The key responsibilities of this role are the following:

  • Lead a team of staff to ensure efficiently planned workloads and management of staff resources
  • Deliver excellent technical advice and direction to clients
  • Develop internal relations relationships to support the overall growth and success of the Commercial and Administration team(s)
  • Actively pursue ways to continually improve work processes
  • Participate at industry forums and events
  • Meet agreed operational and quality targets

  • Management and people skills
  • A strong customer focus and excellent relationship development skills
  • A high degree of self-confidence and self-motivation, to be open-minded, enquiring and enabling of change
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to communicating with internal and external clients
  • A high degree of integrity and commitment
  • A history of goal achievement

Qualifications and experience:

  • Post graduate business or science qualification is preferable
  • Ideally a minimum of five years management in a client service related role
  • Experience in developing client relationships
