Alumni Coordinator

Division of Management

The Division of Management offers highly regarded degrees at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and is one of four divisions at the University of Waikato. It has distinguished itself by the relevance and rigour of its education and research and its commitment to responsible management and leading by innovation. It is a member of an elite group of global business schools that have earned Triple Crown accreditation - an international acknowledgement of excellence in business education.

The Alumni Coordinator helps to deliver world-class communications around the Division's Professional Programmes, while also keeping the Division, its accomplishments and needs in front of the institution's graduates in a variety of ways. The Coordinator creates and implements a strategic alumni relations programme that increases involvement in the Division. Primary responsibilities include building a structure for increasing engagement, coordinating alumni activities and marketing alumni events to achieve maximum attendance.

This is a varied role for a person who is confident, outgoing and capable of balancing both liaison and marketing activities. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to act on your own initiative, self-manage and multi-task.

You will have at least five years' experience in writing media and communication releases. You will have a tertiary qualification in communication, event management or related field with demonstrated work experience in a similar position with experience dealing with senior executives. Also essential to the role are strong technical skills in digital media and utilisation of social media platforms.

The University is committed to Māori and Pacific learner success and an understanding of the culture is essential.

Salary will be in the range of $58,725 to $70,678 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
