About the role

As Principal, you will lead Coffey's contaminated land business in New Zealand to provide services across a variety of sectors. You will report directly to the New Zealand Environment's Lead.

A major focus of your role is to build and maintain excellent relationships with existing clients by providing a high quality service that meets expectations. You will seek out new clients to expand Coffey's client and geographic reach.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading contaminated land assessment and management services in New Zealand including growing and maintaining our client base to complement the existing business.
  • Fulfilling the role of project director and taking overall responsibility for client liaison, the strategic direction of the contaminated land business, as well as its technical and financial performance.
  • Mentoring and coaching technical staff including supporting professional development.
  • Monitoring all operations for compliance with statutory regulations, environmental laws and company policy.

 

About you

You will have significant experience, ideally 15-20+ years in environmental assessment and management primarily in contaminated land assessment and management. You will have qualifications relevant to the position. Your reputation, expertise and in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand market (in particular the Auckland region) will be a distinct advantage.

You will have high level strategic planning and leadership skills including excellent organisational and time management. Intuitive and proactive, you will have a flair for identifying client needs and maximising business growth opportunities.

Naturally your exceptional communication and commercial acumen will ensure your success.
