We have two sales consultant positions available and need people who are keen to build a sales career in the Automotive industry. Ideally, you’ll have at least some sales experience and a passion to meet targets and succeed in a competitive market.

You’ll be based in Honda’s showroom, working closely with prospective customers and maximising the opportunity out of every new test drive. There will be an opportunity to sell to the private car market and businesses.

You’ll also work with an existing Honda customer base to build relationships and repeat business. This involves outbound telemarketing to generate test drive appointments and ultimately sales. The role involves rostered weekend work and a Full NZ Driver license is required.

Who we’re after

If you’ve worked in B2B sales, hospitality, retail sales or telemarketing roles then we’d like to hear from you. Honda can support you with training- the most important attributes we’re looking for are motivation to learn and succeed and excellent rapport building skills. We have an extensive customer base and a lot of repeat business. We’ve found that our customers buy from people they trust who can deliver a great service, so it’s critical that you possess these qualities.

You need to be a self starter with an excellent telephone manner and rapport building skills as well as an ability to successfully turn prospects into sales. A strong work ethic, computer literacy and excellent written communication skills are also a pre-requisite.
