Your role

We are on the lookout for the next superstar Travel Expert to join our team and continue to make STA Travel the number one place for travellers to start their adventure!

We believe that demonstrating behaviour consistent with our brand values is integral to the success of STA as a business. Our values are displayed through demonstrating responsibility through our passion and expertise as we work together towards being customer obsessed.

The experience and skills of a Travel Expert is the basis of the success of STA Travel, and for our customers you are the company. Your primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets and generate revenue through meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations through promotion of STA Travel preferred products. Travel Experts are responsible for ensuring that they promote and support the STA Travel company values & behaviours and promote the company culture.

  • Someone who works together in high-performing teams
  • A whiz on the computer
  • Ideally from a hospitality, customer service, or sales background

What the job requires:

  • Creating amazing adventures for travellers to all corners of the globe
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our millions of travellers
  • Thinking outside the box to create your own sales opportunities
  • Using initiative and exceptional problem solving skills to provide travellers with real-time solutions

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Solid background in sales including a preference with working towards sales targets and/or bonuses/commission
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a customer service environment
  • Wealth of international travel experience including have travelled to at least two other continents (excluding New Zealand)
  • Experience in the travel industry desirable but not essential
  • Experience in the use of travel related systems including Amadeus (or similar) desirable but not essential
