Dairy Trust Taranaki is an organisation whose mission is to secure and enhance the profitability, sustainability and competitiveness of New Zealand dairy farming. They provide up to date scientific knowledge and discovering innovative solutions for the future by conducting research relating to farming methods.

A newly created and extremely varied part time position has become available for a finance and administration person to provide support to the Operations Manager and the Trustees. The role encompasses working across three main areas of accountability including operational, admin support and client relationships/partnership.

Being part of a small team means you must be able to turn your hand to a wide range of tasks from reception duties to finance support so a ‘can do’ attitude is essential. Along with providing financial and general administration support you will be required to take on other office responsibilities as required by the Operations Manager and Trustees.

 Our ideal candidate will need to have:

 Preferably some experience in the farming industry

  • Experience in working in a finance and administration support role
  • Accounts reconciliations including debtors and creditors experience
  • Good computer skills with a sound knowledge of MS office
  • The ability to build cohesive relationships with internal and external providers
  • An open attitude to learning new tasks and working independently
  • Good multitasking skills and be confident in making decisions
  • The ability to plan and organise your own work day
