HR Advisor - Infrastructure Projects (AC36)

The Wynyard Edge Alliance has been formed to consent, design and construct the infrastructure required to support the 36th Americas Cup event at Auckland in 2020 /2021 and some other associated works in the Auckland downtown area.  The scope includes marine works such as breakwaters, pontoons, wharf extensions and repairs, as well as land-based works for the foundations of landside syndicate bases and associated landscaping on Wynyard Point.  All works will have a legacy beyond the America’s Cup event, facilitating the future development of Wynyard Point and providing and improving berthage in the Wynyard area. Hence our mission is “creating the stage for the America’s Cup and a waterfront destination that Kiwis and visitors love”.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the HR Advisor will work closely with the Alliance team leaders to provide an effective, efficient and professional delivery of HR Services to the project.

This is a hands on, operational HR role that provides recruitment support, workforce planning, generalist HR advice, guidance and support to our Managers within the Alliance. The role will also have close working relationships with the home organisations’ HR and business operational teams. You will champion HR best practices aligned to support the project objectives and drive a proactive culture.

We are seeking applications from experienced HR Advisors with a minimum of three years proven ability to work within large scale organisations and diverse businesses. You will have good working knowledge across all areas of HR and your strong communication skills allow you to form solid relationships across all levels of the business. You will be skilled in developing value-add, trust based relationships and you will have demonstrated ability in managing and supporting the delivery of HR policies and procedures. A tertiary qualification is preferred in Human Resources however what’s more important to us is your hands on experience as an HR Advisor.
