Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kuia Trust has several exciting initiatives on the go and is looking to grow its staffing capacity over the next few years.  

As part of this it is important that we communicate well with our iwi members and with external parties. We are looking to employ a Communications Advisor to help lead us with our communications.

Working closely with the General Manager this key new role will provide advice to the Board, General Manager and wider team.  You’ll use your strong relationship skills to develop honest, relevant and respectful communications which align to Ngāti Kuia’s annual plan and are communicated effectively to Iwi members and external parties through a range of mediums including digital media. 

To ensure success in this role you’ll have sound knowledge of Te Reo me ona Tikanga and have proven experience in a communications role. With an adaptable and respectful interpersonal style, you’ll have exceptional relationship building skills and take pride in becoming a trusted advisor within Ngāti Kuia.

The position is a permanent/part-time position for 20 hours per week, preferably based in Nelson but potentially could be Blenheim-based.
