Territory Manager - Iconic Business - Auckland North

Our client has been designing, manufacturing and distributing in the New Zealand plumbing industry for almost 80 years, and has built a reputation based on the quality and reliability of their products, that also deliver on performance and value for money. Their market dominance means that their products are depended on by thousands of plumbers daily. The business is innovative, successful and future focused, and they’re looking for a superstar Territory Manager to add to the dream team they’re currently building!

Reporting to the newly appointed and very fabulous North Island Sales Manager, your mission will be to drive revenue and profit within your assigned territory.  This territory spans West Auckland and North Shore through to Kaitaia, and over the course of your call cycle you’ll typically spend three to four nights away each month.  You’ll also be required to attend a range of industry and trade events, a number of which will happen out of normal working hours.  In this role you’ll be tasked with achieving overall business objectives in sales and new business development as you identify and generate new and profitable opportunities that continue to grow the customer and revenue base.  On a daily basis you’ll work closely with both new and existing customers to determine their present and future needs, as you protect and enhance influential relationships with key customers (both plumbers and merchants).  You’ll be responsible for maintaining a regular call cycle that’s in line with Company objectives and regularly report on customer performance, current market trends and competitive activity.  Additional tasks include conducting product demonstrations, providing input into Customer Account Management plans, and coordinating and implementing promotional activity, new product launches, campaigns, events and displays as required, while at all times ensuring customers have a smooth and harmonious experience throughout the sales process you deliver.

To secure this role you must have proven New Zealand Territory Manager experience driving sales success.  You’ll have built a reputation for being a self-motivated, high performer who strives for excellence.  Your sales experience will have been gained in another competitive B2B New Zealand business, ideally within the plumbing/building or similar trade related industry. Tertiary qualifications are preferred and strong verbal, analytical and computer skills are essential. Your referees will describe you as ‘one out of the box’ due to your strong ability to manage and add value to customer relationships, as well as your commercial acumen and clear ability to prioritise and identify value creating opportunities that drive revenue and business success.

The package on offer includes a competitive salary, bonus and vehicle.  The culture and long term career opportunities will suit someone keen to achieve and make their mark.  If this sounds like you, please contact Jo Davenport immediately: email jd@redconsultinggroup.co.nz or Tel. 09 623 5527 (DDI).
