MiLife New Plymouth Limited operates an independent retirement village in Bell Block and is currently developing a second satellite village. This development will be ongoing in stages for the next two years and has resulted in the creation of a new position to support our Village Manager and to cater to the growth in resident numbers, ensuring we maintain high quality resident support and services across both sites.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Village Manager/Admin Support to assist with the coordination of all operational activities and to ensure quality services are provided to our residents. This is an independent lifestyle village, we do not provide rest home or aged care facilities.

The position is for 25 hours per week and we are open to discussing flexible work hours to suit the successful candidate. There will be a requirement to work across both villages, however the primary location will be the new site.

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the village and maintaining a friendly community for our residents along with providing ongoing administration support to the Village Manager. Community relationships and maintaining the village profile will be part of this key role. Working as part of a small team, you will be expected to work autonomously at times, but will benefit from the full support of the Village Manager and where necessary, the Company Directors.

Previous experience in a similar role and an understanding of the industry would be beneficial, but not essential.

The ideal person will be a confident, empathetic professional with an understanding of the interests and viewpoints of the retired population. You will need great interpersonal skills and have office or administration experience.
