Administration Officer - Auckland District

Closing Date: 11.30pm Sunday 23rd June 2019
Location: Auckland District

Every week Corrections staff wake up and come to work in an environment of high risk and high reward. You have the opportunity to make a positive difference for offenders, prisoners and the New Zealand public.

We are currently looking for a permanent Administration Officer to join our team Community Corrections team.

As a member of the Community Corrections Team your administration skills, maturity, resilience and life experience will be called into action to positively impact your community.

You will support the team with a great part of the role being front-line reception duties dealing directly with those requiring the service of Probation Officers. Other key tasks involve liaising with organisations and services we work with, processing offender files, preparing documents for court, purchasing materials and record management are some of the many tasks an Administration Officer undertakes.

Working in a team and customer based environment, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, and a non-judgmental attitude in customer service.

As first point of contact it is critical you hold yourself to a high standard of integrity and professionalism and always act as role models for the offenders and communities we work with.

Our staff come from different backgrounds, cultures, education and experience – and together their purpose is to motivate offenders to make positive changes in their lives, and so make our communities safer.

The salary range for this role is $44,408 - $52,137 (1st July 2019) dependent on level of skill and experience.

A full Drivers Licence is required.

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand Resident Permit holder, or be an Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.

All applications must be submitted online via our recruitment system. Please note: Applications that are emailed directly will NOT be considered.
