Financial Accountant

You will be joining Tile Space, a leader in providing superior advice and quality product ranges to the New Zealand market. With 12 stores nationwide and a huge warehouse & support office, we know our stuff and have been importing and selling tiles since 1994, when owner Peter Roberts took over the business from his father.

The role:

Due to strong company growth, we have a full-time opportunity for an Accountant to join our team! This role works across all facets of finance from general ledger and other reconciliations, monthly and year end reporting, year end audit, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. This role provides key support to our CFO at Support Office.

You will be responsible for the strict adherence to financial policy, processes and strategy, will work with our Branch Managers on KPI and sales reporting, coordinate appropriate business information, coordinate weekly stock cycle counts, ensure group compliance, and all other financial accounting tasks such as journal preparation, monthly reconciliations, management accounts and analysis.

What we are looking for:

  • CA/CPA either qualified or currently working towards the qualification
  • Minimum of 3 year's experience working in a related role
  • You will be self-motivated and driven to achieve\
  • IT computer and software knowledge/ ability to help troubleshoot.
  • Some prior experience in the Building Products / Manufacturing or Distribution categories will be ideal, as would having been part of a successful group of businesses in the past, in a financial capacity.
  • You will have sound communication skills, are able to build rapport quickly and become a trusted member of our Finance team.

A knowledge of Navision would be highly regarded, however, sound knowledge of other ERP / CRM systems would be acceptable. An advanced knowledge of Excel is critical to the success of your application.
