Store/Yard Person - Tauranga

Who are we looking for?

Due to Fulton Hogan’s ongoing growth within the Region, we are looking for a Store/Yard Person to join our team at the Bay of Plenty Regional Office and deliver the good work we are known for.

The job

You’ll be responsible for wide range of responsibilities including;

  • Daily operations and purchasing of the Stores.
  • Coordination of incoming and outgoing Freight.
  • Maintenance and order of Land and Buildings.

The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, typically from 6:45am to 12:45pm. However, the ideal candidate will be flexible to work longer hours as and when required.

You’ll use your good people skills to build genuine and lasting relationships with our customers, and our people (we’re one big whanau). And you’ll have the skills and experience to help us achieve our strategic objectives.

You’ll also

  • Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and work instruction.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Help your team-mate do their job.

Experience and attributes;

  • Experience in a similar role involving sale and purchasing of store items.
  • Full Class 1 license.
  • Competent in operating a Forklift with the relevant license and appropriate endorsements.
  • Prior coordination and knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience in Stock Data entry and administration.
  • An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Have a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent time management skills & ability to manage commitments.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
