Work-Integrated Learning Coordinator

Division of Health, Engineering, Computing and Science

The Division comprises four Schools: Health, Sport and Human Performance; Engineering; Computing and Mathematical Sciences and Science. The Division also has several research units, including the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) and commercial/equipment units

The University is increasing its work-integrated learning offerings in all areas of study. Work placement programmes are run for all students within the schools of the Division. On completion of their degree, students will have combined their on-campus learning with learning experiences from relevant workplaces.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of coordinators within the Division, to assist with securing work placements for our growing number of students. In this position you will develop links with relevant industries to identify new work placement opportunities and build on existing partnerships with the main focus on facilitating, administering and supporting students into work placements.

A good general education to NCEA Level 3 or equivalent is required as is a current full driver's licence. The successful candidate will need to be a confident communicator, highly organised and motivated person who is energised by building connections, is a flexible team player, and has strong abilities to take initiative. Links with relevant industries along with experience in placing students in an industry setting would be advantageous.

Salary will be in the range of $58,725 to $70,678 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
