Service Desk Analyst

Public Trust is seeking a Service Desk Analyst to provide the business with a high quality, responsive service to users of Public Trust's technology environment.

About the role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Information Technology, you will be responsible for the professional delivery of the support and systems development activities for internal Public Trust technology solutions required to enable our strategic objectives and operations. This includes incident analysis and resolution, monitoring of critical services and processing, systems maintenance and developing effective business relationships with clients and external vendors.

This includes:

  • Providing front line customer service to users across the nation-wide network according to service level agreements
  • Following standard service desk operation procedures
  • Ensuring procedures are in place to provide continuous IS services as required and ensure a minimum business impact in the event of disruptions
  • Monitoring and reporting on agreed processes to ensure achievement of performance objectives set for those processes
  • Adhering to change management practices to minimise the likelihood of disruption, unauthorised alterations and errors
  • Maintaining an effective IT asset inventory.

This role is based at our Auckland Head Office on Shortland Street in the CBD.

What we are looking for:

To be the right fit in this environment you must be driven and passionate about what you do, have a roll your sleeves up, get in and do it attitude! You must be reliable, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • 5 years' experience in a similar support role
  • Be self-motivated, with a desire to succeed in a technical environment and the ability to work independently
  • A strong ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, SCCM, packaging & deployment, Microsoft Windows Server environment administration, VmWare server virtualisation or Microsoft Hyper-V administration is advantageous but not a requirement
  • A full or restricted driver licence is a requirement as you will need to visit our various Auckland centres
  • A tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
