1.0 FTE (80 hours per fortnight)
 

We are looking for a dynamic, confident individual to support the Business Operations Manager in managing the non-clinical services for Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals. Services include, but are not limited to, cleaning, food service and waste management services. The role will be available to contract service staff to resolve problems and issues onsite.

 
You will be responsible for:
  • Working under the guidance of the Business Operations Manager, manage, organise and control delivery of cleaning and catering services in conjunction with service providers

  • Liaise with services users and stakeholders to ensure the key needs are constantly met or exceeded, setting action plans for service improvements

  • Be the on-the-ground person responsible for the day-to-day performance of the major contracts for Tauranga Hospital

  • Assisting the Business Operations Manager in ensuring all service contract performance records at Tauranga are electronically stored accurately and to required guidelines

  • The contractor meeting all aspects of the BOPDHB health and & safety policies and procedures.

Skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years' supply & services contract management

  • University Degree (Bachelor level)
  • Proven experience in leading teams
  • Experience in managing large hospital processes is desirable

  • Ability to communicate effectively with numerous internal and external stakeholders and build and maintain positive client relationships

  • Conversant with Government procurement and MBIE guidelines

  • Passionate about continuous service improvement. 

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager (Whakatane), you will be an integral member of the Property Services Team.

 

You will be based in Tauranga with regular travel between sites required.
