Pathlab Waikato is part of a group of local Pathologist owned laboratories.  We are quality and people focused, helping in excess of 2,500 patients per day throughout the Waikato region. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the specimen processing team based in Central Hamilton. Our team have responsibility for the pre-analytical processing of specimens prior to laboratory analysis.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant your key tasks will include entering patient details and coded test information into the laboratory computer system. Previous experience in a medical/laboratory environment is an advantage but is not a prerequisite as full training will be provided.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task as some high-volume data entry is required; you will be asked to complete a short data entry test as part of our recruitment process, a speed of >60wpm is required. You will also need good communication skills and be able to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements in handling patient information.

This position is full-time working predominantly evening and night shifts.
